I am happy to share a new project with you. One thing was certain for this year: to produce a new film with the talented dancer, singer and actress Ksenia Parkhatskaja.
I love her jazzy voice which authentically illustrates her very personal story.

This song is dedicated to Vera Parkhatskaya, her loving mother and beautiful soul. When Ksenia was 16 her mother passed away, and so when she came to write music, naturally this material flowed out almost immediately. She believes in energies. She believes that the soul has the ability to move and change form:

When I pause with the busyness of the days below the roofs of the buildings, I look up at the night sky and I feel peace, feel at home, feel my mother’s presence.

Lyrics of “Rose and Blue”

Fly to the moon
I’ll go fly to the moon
I can see the sky is rose and blue

Invisible silk of matter
Where all splits and unites
I’ll shake the dust and enter the light

Far from the gloom
Breathing in to the full
For the dreamers only go to places where they want to move

Dropping away my shelter
One string attached to the ground
I’ll shake the dust and enter the light

I’ll go fly to the moon
I’ll go fly to the moon
I can see the sky is rose and blue

Far from the gloom
Breathing in to the full
For the dreamers only go to places where they want to move

Invisible silk of matter
Where all splits and unites
I’ll shake the dust and enter the light
Floating through light that’s scattered
Embrace what I am leaving behind
I’ll guide my way and center in quite

Fly to the moon
Breathing in to the full
For the dreamers only go to places where they want to move
A dream, a dream to spread my wings
That feel, the feel that carries me through
A dream that I belong to
This is how I feel
This is how I feel …. without you

We will also leave this wonderful world one day – nobody knows what will come, but let’s have a nice farewell. Let’s dive into the pink blue sky of the galaxy until only the waves are reflected on the ocean

About the Characters:
Mother: The Balloon is a symbol for the soul. And at some point the balloon flies away. Its journey, light and glowing to “home” of lights. It leaves you with a feeling of comfort but melancholy, sense of goodbye but with relief and acceptance. It’s not about the end of something, but about the beginning or just eternity of everything.
Girl: she is observing the ballon, being left on earth
Earth, City: Reality
Sky, Boat, Lake/ Reflections, Space: Grieve, seek, imagination after life

Here you can get my brushes for Procreate, which I created for this film project.
I tried for a long time to make the hair texture look like watercolor. For analog shades I created a brush with canvas texture, which fades flowery on the sides.

And then you get two very clean brushes (smooth and easy) that I used for the inside of the figure.

I will publish my film festival course soon.
So that you know when it goes online and can secure the discount first you should subscribe to my newsletter.

About Ksenia Parkhatskaya

“Ksenia Parkhatskaya is a world-renowned dancer who’s worked with artists and projects as diverse as Postmodern Jukebox, the Paris Opera Orchestra
and Christian McBride.
But despite having over 250 million video views, she turns her attention now to her life-long passion as a singer. Her sombre, rich vocals draw comparisons to Melody Gardot, Stacy Kent and Katie Melua, but her songwriting, with husband and bassist David Duffy, stretches far beyond jazz into areas of cinematic and even electronic music” – Jazzfuel
